A FAKE movie trailer I made a while ago and finally decided to post it now. It's about the English Civil War.
Film Synopsis:
England, 1641. Tensions are rising between Parliament and King Charles I (Joe Pesci). King Charles I wants absolute, undisputed power, so he neglects parliament and makes all of the decisions on his own. Finally when Parliament decides to stand up against the Kings un-divine power, all hell breaks loose. The King and his army storm the Parliament building while a secret meeting is being held. They try to arrest as many parliament members as they can with brutal force. Most of the parliament members are able to escape the attack though, thanks to the leadership of one parliament member, Oliver Cromwell (Robert Downey Jr.). Cromwell builds and commands an army, known as the Roundheads in an attempt to overthrow the king. The king gathers his elite men to form the Cavaliers. This is the start of the English Civil War. Three major battles take place, the Battle of Edgehill, the Battle of Marston Moor, and the Battle of Naseby. Finally the Roundheads defeat the King and his army. They execute King Charles I and exile his son, Charles II (Christian Bale). Cromwell reforms Englands government and goes on to be the Lord Protector of England. When Cromwell gets tempted by all of the luxuries being a leader has to offer, he becomes power crazy, and he nearly becomes the thing he originally set out to destroy. Its only Charles II who can overthrow Cromwell, and live past the mistakes of his father, to gain the crown again.
